ACA Marketplace coverage in Florida shouldn’t feel like a guessing game. I help individuals and families across Central Florida pick a plan where the doctors, hospitals, and prescriptions actually match what you already use — and where premium tax credits do the heavy lifting on cost. Service available in English y en español.
Compare metal tiers at a glance
Every Marketplace plan is sold in a metal tier. The tier tells you how the plan splits costs between you and the insurer — not the quality of care. Bronze and Silver tend to be the right fit for most Florida budgets, especially when cost-sharing reductions are in play.
| Tier | Typical FL Premium* | Deductible Range | Out-of-Pocket Max | Best Fit For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | $0–$120/mo | $6,500–$9,200 | up to $9,450 | Healthy adults who rarely visit doctors and want catastrophic protection |
| Silver | $0–$220/mo | $2,500–$5,500 | up to $9,450 | Most families — unlocks cost-sharing reductions if income qualifies |
| Gold | $120–$380/mo | $1,000–$2,500 | up to $9,450 | People with regular prescriptions or chronic conditions |
| Platinum | $300–$650/mo | $0–$900 | up to $9,450 | Heavy medical users, specialty meds, frequent specialists |

Your enrollment process — four clear steps
Income & household review
We verify your projected 2026 MAGI, household size, and any other coverage offers (employer, Medicaid, Medicare). This determines your subsidy and cost-sharing reduction eligibility.
Doctor & prescription audit
List the providers and medications you actually use. I check each plan’s network and formulary so you don’t lose your PCP or get hit with non-formulary copays.
Side-by-side plan comparison
You see 3–5 plans matched to your priorities — total annual cost projection, not just monthly premium. We pick the one that wins on real-world numbers.
Enrollment & year-round support
I submit through HealthCare.gov, confirm your effective date, and stay your point of contact for billing, ID cards, claims, and Special Enrollment Periods.
Open Enrollment for 2026 plans: November 1, 2025 through January 15, 2026. Outside that window, qualifying life events (loss of coverage, marriage, new baby, move) open a 60-day Special Enrollment Period. Don’t assume you have to wait — ask first.

Do I qualify for a premium tax credit in Florida?
If your household income is roughly 100%–400% of the Federal Poverty Level — and even higher under the ARPA/IRA enhanced subsidies through 2025 — you likely qualify. Florida did not expand Medicaid, so the ACA is the main path for most working-age Floridians. We calculate your exact credit during the call.
Can I keep my current doctor on a Marketplace plan?
Often yes, but networks vary widely between Florida Blue, Ambetter, Molina, Oscar, and others. Before you enroll I check each shortlisted plan against your provider list so there are no surprises in January.
What’s the difference between a Silver plan and a Silver CSR plan?
Cost-sharing reduction (CSR) Silver plans are the same network and benefits but with much lower deductibles and copays. They’re only available if your income is between 100% and 250% of FPL — and only on Silver tier. For many Florida families, this is the single biggest hidden value in the Marketplace.
What if I missed Open Enrollment?
You can still enroll if you’ve had a qualifying life event in the last 60 days — losing employer coverage, moving, getting married, having a baby, gaining citizenship, or aging off a parent’s plan. Some lower-income households also qualify for year-round enrollment.
Do you charge for help picking a plan?
No. Licensed agents are paid by the carriers, so my service is free to you whether you enroll or not. You also get the same plan price you’d see on HealthCare.gov — agents can’t mark plans up.
Is the consultation available in Spanish?
Yes — consulta gratuita en español. I’m fully bilingual and walk you through every form, plan summary, and ID card in the language you’re most comfortable with.
